A.J. Green (ankle) wants long-term deal with Bengals
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green (ankle) said he wants to be with the team long-term and is open to an extension.
Green says he decided to put contract talks on hold when he injured his ankle, but the sides have now resumed negotiations. The 31-year-old veteran would like to remain in Cincinnati long-term and avoid being franchised. Green is expected to make his season debut after the Bengals' bye in Week 10 against the Baltimore Ravens for Ryan Finley's first NFL action.
Green averaged 77.1 yards a game and 15.1 yards a catch in nine games last season, finishing with 46 catches (77 targets) for 694 yards and 6 touchdowns.
