Eagles 'optimistic' DeSean Jackson (abdomen) will return Friday
Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson is "optimistic" wide receiver DeSean Jackson (abdomen) will play Week 9 against the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
Jackson returned to practice this week after being sidelined since Week 2. If he plays on Sunday, Mack Hollins will likely be bumped out of three-wide sets. Jackson caught 8 passes for 154 yards and 2 touchdowns on 9 targets in the Eagles' opener.
The Eagles have an implied total of 23.0 points in Week 9 and are favored by 4.5 points. The Bears are 11th in the NFL in receiving yards allowed per game.
