DeSean Jackson (abdomen) reportedly done for Eagles in 2019
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson (abdomen) is expected to miss the rest of the season, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Jackson is reportedly undergoing surgery to repair a core muscle injury on Tuesday and will miss 4-6 weeks, so it's possible he makes it back if the Eagles make the postseason, though Rapoport believes that's unlikely. The veteran wideout had been sidelined by the injury since Week 2 before aggravating it in his return on Sunday against the Chicago Bears. Eagles head coach Doug Pederson initially indicated Jackson would be back after the team's Week 10 bye, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Dallas Goedert has emerged as Carson Wentz's third option in place of Jackson. Mack Hollins will continue working in three-wide sets.
Jackson turned his lone target into a 5-yard catch in Week 9. He caught 8 passes on 9 targets for 154 yards and 2 touchdowns in Week 1 in the only full game he's played this season, scoring 31.4 FanDuel points.
