Giants' Sterling Shepard (concussion) to miss fifth consecutive game
New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard (concussion) will not play Week 10 against the New York Jets on Sunday.
It will be Shepard's fifth consecutive absence. He briefly exited the protocol last week before symptoms popped back up and he was forced to re-enter. The Giants are reportedly "seriously considering" placing Shepard on injured reserve. The 26-year-old receiver has been limited to four games this season due to two separate concussions. Evan Engram (foot) has also been ruled out for Week 10, so look for Golden Tate and Saquon Barkley to see the majority of targets. The Jets are bottom-10 in the NFL in receiving yards allowed per game (272.8).
Shepard has 25 catches for 267 (10.7 yards) yards and 1 touchdown on 34 targets in four games this season.
