Browns' Myles Garrett suspended for at least remainder of 2019
Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett has been suspended indefinitely by the National Football League for violating the league's unnecessary roughness and unsportsmanlike conduct policies.
At a minimum, Garrett's suspension will last for the remainder of the season, including the playoffs. The NFL said in a statement that Garrett used Mason Rudolph's helmet as a "weapon" after removing it from the quarterback's head at the end of Thursday night's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Losing one of the league's premier pass-rushers will be a significant loss for a Browns team that has won two straight games. Suspensions were also handed down to Maurkice Pouncey (three games) and Larry Ogunjobi (one game). The Browns and Steelers have both been fined $250,000.
Garrett recorded 10 sacks, 11 tackles for a loss, and 2 forced fumbles in 10 games this season.
