Falcons' Devonta Freeman (foot) 'trending in the right way'
Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman (foot) is "trending in the right way," head coach Dan Quinn said.
Quinn said Freeman could return to practice as soon as Thursday, which would put him on track to play Week 12 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brian Hill gained just 30 yards on 15 carries as the lead back in place of Freeman on Sunday in a 29-3, Week 11 smackdown of the Carolina Panthers.
Freeman is averaging 10.9 FanDuel points per game. He has 371 rushing yards (3.5 per carry), 282 receiving yards, 38 catches, 44 targets, and 3 touchdowns in nine contests. The Bucs have the second-best rush defense in the NFL (80.9 yards per game).
