Texans' J.J. Watt (pectoral) designated to return from IR
Houston Texans defensive lineman J.J. Watt was designated to return from the injured reserve on Tuesday with one game left in the regular season.
Watt was placed on the IR after the team's Week 8 game, and he's eligible to return for the playoffs after spending eight weeks on the shelf. It's unclear how active he'll be on Wild Card weekend, but his presence alone is enough to disrupt opposing offenses.
In eight games this season, Watt has 16 tackles, four sacks, three pass breakups and one forced fumble.
