Philip Rivers will not return to Chargers in 2020
Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers will enter free agency, the team announced.
This confirms what has been expected for the past month or so. Rivers has spent all 16 years of his career with the Chargers and started every game for them since 2006. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Indianapolis Colts have been mentioned as potential landing spots for Rivers. He turned 38 in December.
Rivers averaged 16.0 FanDuel points per game last season. He completed 66.0 percent of his passes for 4,615 yards (7.8 per attempt), 23 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions.
