Breer: Lions reportedly sign linebacker Jamie Collins to 3-year contract
The Detroit Lions have reportedly signed linebacker Jamie Collins to a three-year deal.
What It Means:
Collins will reportedly join the Lions after previously playing under Matt Patricia in New England. The veteran linebacker will likely be utilized in a pass-rushing role after producing a career-best 7.0 sacks and 30 pressures last season.
In 161 pass-rushing opportunities last season, Collins accounted for a 18.6% pressure rate, 11.8% hurry rate, and a 5.6% quarterback hit rate.
