Jadeveon Clowney

Jadeveon Clowney reportedly seeking a deal worth "about $20 million per year"

Free Agent linebacker Jadeveon Clowney is reportedly looking for a deal worth roughly $20 million per season, according to ESPN's Dianna Russini.

What It Means:

Clowney, the first overall pick in the 2014 draft, is entering his seventh season and is testing the open marketing after spending five seasons with the Houston Texans and last season with Seattle following a trade. The three-time pro bowler's asking price, which is $5 million more per season than the franchise tag, is proving to be too rich for interested teams, and his market has been quiet thus far. According to Pro Football Focus, Clowney is the best edge rusher of the remaining free agents.

Clowney dealt with injuries for much of last year, but managed to play in 13 games, producing 3 sacks, 10 quarterback hits, and 30 pressures, all down from his 2018 season.
