Seahawks trade for Redskins cornerback Quinton Dunbar
The Seattle Seahawks have traded for former Washington Redskins defensive back Quinton Dunbar.
The Redskins will reportedly receive a 2020 5th-round draft pick in the exchange. Dunbar is coming off of the best year of his five-year career, grading out as Pro Football Focus's second-best cornerback for the 2019 season. He had a team-high 4 interceptions and 8 passes defensed on Washington's mediocre defense, while allowing a passer rating of just 68.4 on passes that targeted him.
Dunbar should be a welcome addition to a Seahawks defense that allowed the sixth-most passing yards against in 2019 with 4,223. His presence will surely be missed by a Washington defense that allowed the ninth-most adjusted yards per attempt last season.
