Chargers reportedly sign XFL TE Donald Parham to 2-year pact

The Los Angeles Chargers signed tight end Donald Parham, formerly of the Dallas Renegades of the XFL, to a 2-year contract, according to sources of NFL Draft Diamonds.

What It Means:

Parham went undrafted out of Stetson last summer. He spent the preseason with the Washington Redskins but didn't make it to the final roster. However, at the XFL level, Parham was the league's third-leading receiver with 307 yards when things were shut down for COVID-19. He finished 2nd in targets (43), tied for 5th in catches (24), and tied for 2nd in touchdown catches (4). Hunter Henry is entrenched as the Chargers' starting tight end, but Parham, who measures in as one of the NFL's tallest players at 6-feet, 8-inches, could provide another option on offense. He will be 23 at the start of next season.

Parham led all D-1 and D-2 tight ends in catches per game (9.4) and receiving yards per game (146.6) as a senior at Stetson University.
