Geronimo Allison

Lions sign receiver Geronimo Allison

The Detroit Lions have agreed to terms with former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Geronimo Allison.

What It Means:

Once a deep sleeper in dynasty and redraft leagues, Allison never lived up to his modest hype in Green Bay. The Packers have searched for a viable second wideout to pair with Davante Adams since cutting Jordy Nelson in 2018, but Allison was never able to fill that role. He'll look for a fresh start on a far more crowded wide receiver depth chart in Detroit.

Allison has flashed for moments in his four-year career, including making some highlight-reel catches in the 2016 playoffs and averaging 60.6 receiving yards per game in his abbreviated 2018 season. Unfortunately for Allison, Detroit's pass-catchings corps is much stronger than Green Bay's was in his stay there. He'll face an uphill battle to make the final 53 man roster.
