Jace Sternberger in position to become Packers' TE1

ESPN's Rob Demovsky believes Green Bay Packers tight end Jace Sternberger will "get a chance" to prove himself this year.

What It Means:

With the departure of Jimmy Graham to the Chicago Bears in free agency and the dearth of reliable receiving options on the Packers roster, the sophomore Sternberger should have an opportunity to carve out a significant role in Green Bay this year.

Sternberger, who caught 48 passes for 832 yards and 10 touchdowns in his final year of college ball, could realistically carve out a significant role in the Packers passing game. Injuries played a part in his limited involvement in his rookie 2019 season, but beyond Davante Adams the team's two top targets were running back Aaron Jones (68 targets) and the departing Jimmy Graham (60).
