Washington's Trent Williams reportedly 'still on table' for Browns

Washington Redskins left tackle Trent Williams being acquired by the Cleveland Browns is "still on the table," reports Josina Anderson of ESPN.

What It Means:

"Nothing is imminent or super close right now," Anderson adds, but the Browns remain interested. Cleveland is expected to draft a left tackle at 10th overall on Thursday night, but they may wind up filling the need via trade instead. Williams is a proven commodity at a highly-valued position, but he sat out all of 2019 and hasn't played a full season since 2013. The seven-time Pro Bowler is said to be asking for a contract extension worth $18 million-plus annually. He turns 32 this summer.

Williams was 13th in pass blocking and 20th overall on Pro Football Focus in 2018 out of 64 tackles with at least 500 snaps. He's received a grade of at least 75.0 in both categories every year since his rookie season.
