Titans, Johnathan Joseph agree to one-year deal

The Tennessee Titans have agreed to a deal with former Texans cornerback Johnathan Joseph, according to ESPN's Dianna Russini.

What It Means:

The former first-round draft pick in 2006 is entering his 15th season and will be moving on from the Texans after nine seasons and two pro bowl appearances (2011-12). Joseph played 14 games for the Texans last season, lining up primarily at wide corner. He allowed 48 receptions on 78 targets (61.5%) for 627 yards (13.1 per reception), 2 touchdowns, 1 interception, and a passer rating against of 90.1. He will join a Titans defense that ranked 13th against the pass last season, per numberFire.

Joseph earned a coverage grade of 65 from Pro Football Focus last season, 70th best at his position. He was PFF's 79th graded cornerback last season.
