Titans reportedly declining Corey Davis' option

The Tennessee Titans declined wide receiver Corey Davis' fifth-year team option for 2021.

What It Means:

Davis will become an unrestricted free agent after playing out the final year of his rookie deal. He was easily passed on the depth chart by second-round rookie A.J. Brown in 2019, leading to declines in receptions (43), receiving yards (601), and touchdowns (2). However, Davis did post career-bests in yards per catch (14.0), yards per target (8.7), and catch rate (62.3). The former No. 5 overall pick hasn't lived up to his draft capital, but he's totaled a respectable 1,492 receiving yards over the past two years, 34th among wideouts.

Davis averaged 6.2 FanDuel points (WR80) and 40.1 yards per game last season. He added a personal-best 0.73 Reception Net Expected Points per target, above league average (0.70) for a second consecutive season.
