Falcons acquire Charles Harris in trade with Dolphins
The Atlanta Falcons have acquired defensive lineman Charles Harris from the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a 2021 seventh-round pick.
A former 22nd overall pick by the Dolphins in 2017, Harris failed to impress during his time in Miami, totaling just 3.5 sacks and 23 QB hits over three seasons. It's a low-risk investment for a Falcons team that requires help on defense after finishing last season rated 21st overall, per numberFire's power rankings. Harris is owed $1.9 million on his fifth-year option in 2021, leaving the Falcons with a decision to make over the next three days.
Harris earned a grade of 62.5 from Pro Football Focus last season, 103rd at his position. His coverage grade of 76 was a much better mark, ranking 20th in the league.
