Jason Peters "plans to play this season", keeping options open

Free agent offensive lineman Jason Peters is "working out" and "plans to play this season", according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

What It Means:

According to Schefter, Peters has spoken with the Eagles about a return, but is keeping his options open heading into the upcoming season. A former undrafted free agent back in 2004, Peters has spent the last 11 seasons in Philadelphia, earning seven Pro Bowl nods and two First-Team All-Pro selections. The 38-year-old played 14 games at left tackle for the Eagles last season, allowing 3 sacks, 4 quarterback hits, 18 hurries, 25 pressures, and incurring 11 penalties.

Peters was part of an Eagles offensive line that ranked 3rd in pass blocking and 1st in run blocking, per Pro Football Focus. He earned a grade of 82.4 from PFF last season, seventh-best at his position.
