Pats sign linebacker Cassh Maluia to rookie contract
The New England Patriots have signed sixth-round pick Cassh Maluia to his rookie contract.
Maluia was a multi-year starter for the Wyoming Cowboys, and even contributed in his true freshman season (including some work on special teams). The Patriots parted ways with Jamie Collins, Kyle Van Noy and Elandon Roberts this offseason, which means Maluia could see work early on alongside Dont'a Hightower and Ja'Whaun Bentley.
Maluia earned poor marks from PFF, inlcuding grading outside of the top 300 linebackers in run defense in 2019, but he does come into the league with a solid amount of experience under his belt as a four-year contributor at Wyoming.
