T.Y. Hilton remains 'main piece' of Colts' offense

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton is "definitely still the main piece" on offense, according to offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni.

What It Means:

"I think about where we're at – things will be schemed to get him the football," Sirianni continued. "I know he's worked hard on his body and worked hard through the offseason. He's our guy. He's our lead dog. He's our alpha dog. If he stays healthy the sky is the limit again for him." Hilton played a career-low 10 games last season due to a calf injury after missing two games and being limited by abdominal and ankle injuries in 2018. The veteran wideout had missed two games total over his first six years in the league. Assuming Philip Rivers provides an upgrade under center for the Colts, Hilton could be a darkhorse Comeback Player of the Year candidate if his health also cooperates. The former third-round pick is entering his age-30 campaign.

Hilton averaged 10.3 FanDuel points (WR39) and a career-low 50.1 yards per game last season. His personal-worst 7.4 yards per target ranked 74th out of 127 players with at least 50 targets last season. Hilton's volume was down due to the missed time, but he did post a personal-best 66.2 percent catch rate by snagging 45 receptions on 68 targets.
