T.Y. Hilton committed to Colts for career

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton wants to remain with the team long-term.

What It Means:

"It takes two sides," Hilton said. "It's up to [owner Jim] Irsay and [general manager] Chris [Ballard] to get the job done. I want to be a Colt. So you heard it from me." Hilton is entering the final year of his contract, but the Colts likely want to see how he performs with Philip Rivers before making a multi-year commitment to the 30-year-old receiver. He missed more games last season (six) due to a calf injury than the first seven years of his career combined (four). It resulted in the least productive season of Hilton's career, but offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni recently said the veteran receiver remains the focal point of the offense. The question is whether Hilton will remain in that role beyond 2020.

Hilton averaged 10.3 FanDuel points (WR39) and a career-low 50.1 yards per game last season. He didn't have 100 yards in any game for the first time in his career and recorded a personal-worst 7.4 yards per target (74th out of 127 players with at least 50 targets last season). One positive is that Hilton posted a personal-best 66.2 percent catch rate by snagging 45 receptions on 68 targets.
