Lions sign guard Logan Stenberg to rookie contract
The Detroit Lions have signed offensive guard Logan Stenberg to his rookie contract.
The team selected Stenberg with the 121st pick of the 2020 NFL Draft. He'll have a legitimate chance at competing for a starting job as an offensive guard, arguably the softest spot on the team's line.
Though athletically limited (at least according to NFL Combine testing drills), Stenberg graded out as PFF's top-rated offensive guard in pass protection in 2019, allowing just one quarterback hurry on 262 pass-blocking sets. Neither of the Lions two main guards from last season graded within the top 25 players at the position, so don't be shocked if Stenberg wins a significant role as a rookie.
