Cameron Brate catching with Tom Brady in Tampa Bay

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cameron Brate attended a workout led by quarterback Tom Brady at a local private school.

What It Means:

Brate and Brady were also joined by tight end O.J. Howard and wide receivers Mike Evans and Scotty Miller. The six-year pro has the fourth-most touchdowns (27) among all tight ends over the past five years, but his yards per target has also fallen every season in that span. Brate has also averaged fewer than 3.5 targets and 20.0 yards per game each of the past two seasons. The addition of Rob Gronkowski to the depth chart only worsens Brate's outlook.

Brate is the TE48 in numberFire's preseason fantasy rankings. Our models project him for 30.5 targets, 19.4 receptions, 161.2 yards, and 1.7 touchdowns. Brate had the third-fewest yards per target (5.7) last season among the 41 tight ends with 30-plus targets.
