Jamal Adams OUT

Jets willing to listen to calls for Jamal Adams

The New York Jets are not actively shopping defensive back Jamal Adams, but are willing to listen if teams call, according to Yahoo's Charles Robinson.

What It Means:

The Jets remain committed to keeping Adams, and despite his desire to be traded, expect to sign him to a long term deal. However, they are fielding calls from interested teams, which leaves the door slightly open for Adams to be moved. Adams preferred destination is the Cowboys, but he is open to playing for other teams.

numberFire's models project Adams for 2.1 interceptions, 6.0 pass deflections, and 4.3 sacks this season. Adams finished as Pro Football Focus' fourth-best safety out of 71 to play at least 500 snaps. He's graded out as a top-four safety each of the past two seasons among safeties with 500-plus snaps.
