Carlos Hyde (shoulder) expects to be ready for Seahawks' opener
Seattle Seahawks running back Carlos Hyde (shoulder surgery) said that he expects to be at full health for Week 1.
Hyde underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum, but he said his rehab hasn't been hindered much by the pandemic. The veteran back said he suffered the injury in Week 2 and then played the rest of the season with it. Despite the injury, Hyde still recorded his first 1,000-yard campaign and averaged more than 4.0 yards per carry for the first time in three seasons. Rashaad Penny (knee) isn't expected to be ready for the start of the season, so Hyde should see touches as a complement to Chris Carson. Last year, Penny averaged 7.3 touches per game in that role, including 33 touches over his final two full games.
numberFire's models project Hyde for 154.3 rushing yards, 7.6 receptions (10.6 targets), 45.9 receiving yards, and 1.5 touchdowns in 2020. He's the RB78 in our preseason fantasy rankings.
