Bowen: 'Not a slam dunk' Jordan Wilkins will make Colts' 2020 roster
According to Kevin Bowen, Indianapolis Colts running back Jordan Wilkins "is more like the No. 3 ‘running back’ when talking about guys used more on first and second down."
What It Means:
Due to the addition of Jonathan Taylor and Nyheim Hines' role as a third-down or passing situation back, Wilkins has reportedly slipped further down the Colts' running back depth chart or potentially to the fourth spot behind Marlon Mack, Taylor, and Hines. Look for Wilkins to establish himself on special teams if he is going to solidify his roster status.
For the upcoming season, Wilkins' projection includes 13.7 rushing attempts for 59.0 yards and 2.0 receptions for 15.4 receiving yards.
