Markus Golden likely returning to Giants
Free agent defensive lineman Markus Golden hasn't been pursued by other teams after the New York Giants placed a "May 5 tender" on him on April 27, per Ralph Vacchiano of SNY.
Golden will receive a little over $4 million from the Giants in 2020 if no other suitors emerge by July 22. He played all 16 games last year and bounced back with 10.0 sacks after only playing 15 games and recording 2.5 sacks in the previous two seasons combined. It was Golden's second double-digit sack campaign through five years in the league. He turned 29 in March.
The Giants D/ST is 28th in numberFire's preseason fantasy rankings.
