Raiders' Tyrell Williams diagnosed with torn labrum
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tyrell Williams has been diagnosed with a torn labrum.
Ian Rapoport reported that Williams will try to play through the injury this season rather than have corrective surgery performed, but labrum issues can be extremely painful (especially for wide receivers). If Williams is unable to play or is hampered by the injury, rookie Bryan Edwards (who has already been practicing with the first team with Williams sidelined) could find himself in a starting role sooner than expected.
Williams was already pretty far down numberFire's rankings before this news. As our WR65, he was projected to score just 80.52 fantasy points this season. With Edwards shining in camp, Williams' days as the team's number-one receiver seem numbered.
