Bears' David Montgomery (groin) limited in Wednesday's practice
Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice, the team announced.
Montgomery is just about two weeks from his initial diagnosis of a groin strain, the recovery timetable for which was set at 2-4 weeks. And while he remains questionable for the team's Week 1 game against the Detroit Lions, today's workload is a good sign as to him potentially suiting up Sunday. Whether or not he plays, Tarik Cohen figures to be a staple of the offensive game plan with Ryan Nall and Cordarrelle Patterson also playing a role.
Montgomery racked up 1,074 all-purpose yards on 267 touches last season with seven touchdowns. Should he suit up Sunday, his salary will be $5,900.
