Broncos' bench Jeff Driskel, sub in Brett Rypien in Week 3 loss to Buccaneers
Denver Broncos quarterback Jeff Driskel was benched during Week 3's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Driskel struggled early and often against Tampa Bay, completing 17 of 30 passes for 176 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception. Denver decided they had seen enough and switched to Rypien, who completed his first 8 passes for 53 yards before tossing an interception on his 9th and final attempt. With Drew Lock still sidelined, the Broncos quarterback position remains up in the air heading into a Week 4 meeting with the New York Jets.
Tampa Bay D/ST allowed just 10 points and recorded 2 interceptions and 6 sacks against the Broncos in Week 3.
