Saints' Jared Cook (groin) doesn't practice Wednesday

New Orleans Saints tight end Jared Cook did not practice Wednesday ahead of the team's Week 4 game against the Detroit Lions.

What It Means:

Cook exited Sunday's loss to the Green Bay Packers early with the groin injury, limping to the locker room before not returning to the field. And now that he's not practicing to start the week, he has a concerning outlook heading into the back end of the week. If he can't go, Adam Trautman will be the main option at tight end for Drew Brees.

The Saints are going up a Lions secondary that has been rather porous through the first three games of the season, ranking 22nd in the NFL in allowing 0.24 adjusted net expected points per pass play.
