Rapoport: Chris Godwin (hamstring) could miss next two games
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin could miss the next two weeks, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Godwin didn't practice on Wednesday and is expected to miss at least Week 4 versus the Los Angeles Chargers. The talented wideout exited Week 3 early because of a hamstring issue. Scotty Miller also missed Wednesday's practice with a hip/groin issue. Justin Watson (shoulder) and rookie Tyler Johnson may be asked to play expanded roles in Godwin's absence. Mike Evans figures to see the bulk of targets and Rob Gronkowski could become more involved.
Godwin is leading the Bucs with 6.5 targets a game. Mike Evans put up a season-high 19.9 FanDuel points in Week 2 when Godwin was sidelined against the Carolina Panthers. The Chargers enter Week 4 ranked 12th in pass defense, according to numberFire's advanced metrics.
