Chargers' Justin Herbert could win starting quarterback job
Los Angeles Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn was non-committal when asked whether Tyrod Taylor (lung) would be the team's starting quarterback once he is healthy again.
Lynn had previously stated that Taylor would resume his role as the team's starter once he was healthy, but when asked about that statement after the team's Week 4 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Lynn responded with, "I can't answer that question right now." 2020 NFL Draft first-round pick Justin Herbert has impressed in his 3 starts and is certainly making that decision difficult for Lynn.
Through 3 starts, Herbert has averaged 8.37 adjusted yards per attempt, a top 12 mark across the league. Herbert threw two incredible deep passes for touchdowns against the Bucs Sunday and could very well have played himself into a starting job.
