D'Ernest Johnson ready to "attack every day" to keep Cleveland's rushing game on top
Cleveland Browns running back D'Ernest Johnson believes the team can remain the league's top rushing offense, even with Nick Chubb sidelined with a knee injury.
Johnson told The Athletics' Zac Jackson that he thinks the Browns have the backs to remain on top of the league. He said "I truly believe we have the backs to do that. We just have to attack every day and outwork our opponents and then let everything come to us. We just have to work and go get it. I feel like we can do that.” Johnson is expected to be more involved while Chubb is sidelined, and potentially take on an even larger role if Kareem Hunt's groin injury limits him in the future. Our models expect Johnson to see 8.4 touches against an Indianapolis Colts defense ranked third-best against running backs in numberFire's advanced stats.
The Browns are 1.0-point underdogs against the Colts in Week 5. Their implied team total is 24.25. Our models expect Johnson to score 5.7 FanDuel points in Week 5, and his salary is $5,300.
