Garoppolo was benched for the second half against the Dolphins after completing 7-of-17 passes for 77 yards with zero touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Shanahan suggested that the benching was because he didn't want Garoppolo to aggravate the injury by being forced to air it out in comeback mode. "Jimmy came in good (on Monday)," Shanahan said.
