Yates: Patriots' Cam Newton (COVID-19) expected to practice Thursday
New England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton is expected to practice Thursday, according to Field Yates of ESPN.
Newton was the Patriots player who tested positive before the team's Week 4 game against the Kansas City Chiefs, and then further tests caused last week's game against the Denver Broncos to be postponed. If Newton continues to test negative and get back into the swing of practice, he should be able to unseat Brian Hoyer at starting quarterback.
Our models project Newton for 227.6 passing yards, 1.7 touchdowns, 34.6 rushing yards and 21.0 FanDuel points.
