49ers' Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle) set to start against Rams in Week 6
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle) will start against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 6.
Garoppolo, who was benched at halftime of Week 5's game against the Miami Dolphins, made it through the week of practice without limitations and will get the start against the Rams in Week 6. Garoppolo was still feeling the impact of his high-ankle sprain during the first half of Week 5's loss to the Dolphins, so it's a good sign that he "looked healthier" in practice this week, according to Kyle Shanahan. Garoppolo will face a Rams defense ranked 7th-best against quarterbacks in Week 6.
Garoppolo's Week 6 projection includes 22.9 completions on 34.6 attempts for 257.4 yards, 1.57 touchdowns, 0.8 interceptions, and 16.2 FanDuel points. He is the QB23 in our Week 6 rankings.
