Jets' Breshad Perriman enters NFL concussion protocol

New York Jets wide receiver Breshad Perriman has entered the NFL concussion protocol after suffering a blow to the head in Sunday's 18-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

What It Means:

Perriman was going for a deep ball when he took a monster hit from Bills safety Micah Hyde, knocking him out of the game. The oft-injured receiver was expected to compete for the team's No. 1 role out wide, but he hasn't stayed on the field often enough to capitalize on his opportunity. We'll see if Perriman is able to suit up for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, but it's too soon to tell anything at the moment.

In 4 games this season, Perriman has 11 catches on 17 targets for 118 receiving yards.
