Carolina Panthers defensive back Eli Apple was released on Tuesday.
What It Means:
Apple was released after being unable to practice on Tuesday due to an injured hamstring. Apple, a former tenth-overall pick by the New York Giants in 2016, played just 34 snaps for the Panthers this season after signing a one-year, $3 million deal in May.
