Browns' Rashard Higgins taking on starting role

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Rashard Higgins replied that he's "in the starting lineup now" when asked how his role will change without Odell Beckham Jr. (torn ACL).

What It Means:

Higgins finished with 6 receptions on 6 targets for 110 yards last Sunday after Beckham exited early. He played on all 28 of Baker Mayfield's dropbacks and recorded an offensive snap share over 80.0 percent for the first time this season. He and Jarvis Landry will likely command most of Cleveland's targets for the rest of the year. The Browns will battle the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 8.

Higgins is the WR49 in numberFire's Week 8 fantasy rankings. Our models expect him to draw the second-most targets (5.1) on the Browns behind Jarvis Landry (7.7) and to score 7.2 FanDuel points. He has a salary of $5,500 on the main slate. The Raiders have the No. 30 pass defense in numberFire's advanced team rankings.
