Joe Flacco named Jets starter again for Week 11
New York Jets quarterback Joe Flacco will start again in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
What It Means:
Sam Darnold (shoulder) has been ruled out again, setting Flacco up for his fourth start of the season. He threw for under 200 yards in his first two starts but then impressively completed 18-of-25 attempts for 262 yards with 3 touchdowns and an interception last Monday night in a near upset of the New England Patriots. Denzel Mims and Breshad Perriman combined for 15 targets in that one while no one else on the team drew more than two looks.
Flacco is averaging 13.9 FanDuel points as a starter and has a significantly higher average depth of target (10.6 yards) than Darnold (7.5). The Chargers are allowing the sixth-most FanDuel points per game to the quarterback position this season (21.2).
