Falcons to re-evaluate Calvin Ridley (foot) Wednesday
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley (foot) worked with trainers on the side at Monday's practice.
Falcons interim head coach Raheem Morris said the team will know more about Ridley's status for Week 11 against the New Orleans Saints on Wednesday. Ridley was held out all of Week 9 and then had the Falcons' bye for additional rest. Olamide Zaccheaus stepped up with 4 catches for 103 yards and a touchdown on 6 targets against the Denver Broncos with Ridley sidelined in Week 9.
Zaccheaus ran a route on 32 of Matt Ryan's 38 dropbacks against the Broncos. Ridley has over 100 yards and/or a touchdown in all of his healthy games this season. He is averaging the eighth-most receiving yards per game (82.1) in the league and 11th-most yards per route run (2.3) among receivers with at least 10 targets.
