Rapoport: Teddy Bridgewater (knee) unlikely for Panthers Week 11
Carolina Panthers quarterback Teddy Bridgewater (knee) is unlikely to play Week 11 against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Bridgewater was limping at Thursday's practice and is not expected to be cleared for Sunday's matchup. The Panthers will turn to either P.J. Walker or Will Grier under center. Walker has completed 3-of-8 attempts for 15 yards in two appearances this season while Grier went 28-of-52 for 228 yards (4.4 per attempt) with no touchdowns and 4 interceptions in two starts last year. They will both be downgrades for the entire Panthers offense, even in a plus matchup against the Lions.
Grier averaged fewer FanDuel points per dropback last season than anyone in the league with at least 10 dropbacks. He was at least willing to throw the ball down the field with an average depth of target of 9.0 yards. That would rank in the top-10 among qualified throwers this year.
