Texans' Will Fuller announces 6-game suspension for PEDs

Houston Texans wide receiver Will Fuller announced via Instagram that he's been suspended six games for violating the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing substances.

What It Means:

Fuller said he was prescribed medication from a medical professional that wasn't permitted by the NFL. He will miss the Texans' final five games of 2020 and Week 1 of next season. Houston is left with Brandin Cooks, Keke Coutee, and Isaiah Coulter currently at the top of their wide receiver depth chart. Jordan Akins figures to be more involved over the final month-plus of Houston's season and Kenny Stills could be reclaimed off waivers.

Fuller finishes the season with 53 catches on 75 targets for 879 yards and 8 TDs in 11 games. He averaged 14.8 FanDuel points and 6.8 targets per contest while commanding the second-largest target share (21.4) on the Texans behind Brandin Cooks (22.3). Akins now leads Houston's available pass-catchers with 4 end zone targets this season.
