Lions' D'Andre Swift (concussion) absent on Thursday

Detroit Lions running back D'Andre Swift (concussion) was downgraded to a non-participant on Thursday.

What It Means:

Swift's status against the Chicago Bears is heading towards doubtful after the Lions' rookie was unable to practice on Thursday. “Swift’s injury is a touchy subject, obviously, with the concussion protocols and everything,” said Detroit's interim head coach Darrell Bevell before today's session. “It’s something that we have to make sure that we continue to work through with him. It’s kind of touch-and-go every day, but he’s still working through it."

Expect Adrian Peterson and Kerryon Johnson to play committee roles in Week 13 if Swift remains sidelined. In Week 12's game with Swift ruled out, Peterson logged a 27% offensive snap percentage and saw 15 carries while Johnson logged a 48% snap percentage with 15 touches including four receptions.
