Dolphins' Salvon Ahmed (shoulder) still sitting
Miami Dolphins running back Salvon Ahmed (shoulder) was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's injury report for Week 14 versus the Kansas City Chiefs.
Ahmed sat out last week and it led to Myles Gaskin rushing 21 times for 90 yards, and catching 2 passes for 51 yards, in the Dolphins' win over the Cincinnati Bengals. The Dolphins may not be able to rely on the run game as much versus the Chiefs, but Gaskin should still see most of the workload if Ahmed and Matt Breida (COVID-19) both remain out.
Gaskin is currently considered a top-12 running back in numberFire's Week 14 fantasy rankings and his outlook will only improve if Ahmed is ruled out. He's a positive regression candidate over the rest of the season as Gaskin has the biggest gap between actual fantasy points and his expected total (24.5 points below expectation) at the position.
