FanDuel Fantasy Points Per Game More DFS

D'Andre Swift (illness) trending toward playing for Lions

Detroit Lions running back D'Andre Swift is trending toward playing in Week 14 against the Green Bay Packers, per interim head coach Darrell Bevell.

What It Means:

Swift has been practicing on a limited basis all week after being held out last week. He averaged 18.5 touches in the two weeks before his three-game absence, but the Lions may take it easy with the rookie in his first game back. Even if Swift is limited, his return makes Adrian Peterson little more than a touchdown-dependent fantasy option. Kerryon Johnson also won't be as involved.

The Packers are a bit of a run-funnel defense, as they rank in the top half of the league against the pass in numberFire's efficiency rankings, but just 28th versus the run. They are also allowing the third-most FanDuel points per game to the running back position this season, so Swift may be able to put up numbers on a limited workload. He played 72.9 percent of the snaps in his final game before the concussion, and he racked up 149 yards from scrimmage on 26 adjusted opportunities.
