Texans' David Johnson placed on reserve/COVID-19 list ahead of Week 14's clash with Chicago
Houston Texans running back David Johnson was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Friday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Johnson's placement on the list means he will miss out on Week 14's game against the Chicago Bears. Johnson's status for Week 15 and beyond will depend on if he tested positive himself or if he was a close contact or someone else who did. For now, Duke Johnson will resume his role as the Texans' lead back for as long as David Johnson remains out. This Sunday the Texans will face a Bears defense rated 9th against running backs in numberFire's advanced stats.
The Texans are 1.5-point favorites over the Bears in Week 14. Their implied team total of 23.5 points is the 13th-lowest team total on Sunday's main slate, according to numberFire's DFS Heat Map.
