Giants could hold Daniel Jones (ankle, hamstring) out for Week 15

The New York Giants are "trending towards" sitting quarterback Daniel Jones (ankle, hamstring) and starting backup Colt McCoy for the team's Week 15 game against the Cleveland Browns, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports.

What It Means:

Jones has been taking a beating this season, including a whopping 6 sacks in the team's Week 14 loss to the Arizona Cardinals (just a week removed from missing the team's previous game with a hamstring injury). The 5-8 Giants are still competing for a playoff berth in the NFC East, but likely need to start thinking about the future and preserving the health of their starter.

If the Giants do sit Jones this week, expect Colt McCoy to take over the starting quarterback duties. McCoy has not been very effective as a passer, but did lead the team to an upset win over the Seattle Seahawks. He has a $6,600 salary on FanDuel for Week 15.
